South Dakota recently hosted a television film crew from Fuji Television Network News. The crew was here to do a story on the SOUTH DAKOTA CERTIFIED™ Beef Program. The piece will air in Japan in the next couple of weeks on a show called News Japan. The show follows a similar format to Nightline. News Producer Andy Bettag said the people of Japan are extremely interested in traceability issues for their beef.

In the photo above, Jafar Karim, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Tourism and State Development, is interviewed by Bettag. Looking on are Hiroe Fujihara, correspondent, and Brian Dentz, camera person.

Representatives from Fuji Television Network News visited a cow/calf operation near Murdo as part of their SOUTH DAKOTA CERTIFIED™ Beef Story.
