Enrolling Cattle & Managing Transfers

For Producers Licensed producers enrolling cattle in the program can submit compliance data to the South Dakota Official Data Management System through a variety of methods, including electronic upload of data from third party data management companies. Because participants must submit data with specific conditions met, the department will make a list available of the companies that have demonstrated the ability to provide the data to the South Dakota Official Data Management System in an acceptable format. These third party providers will be identified as Participating Data Management Providers.

Producers not interested in utilizing Participating Data Management Providers can submit the compliance data to the South Dakota Official Data Management System using the following template available below, or by contacting the South Dakota Department of Agriculture (SDDA) at 1-800-228-5254. In order to submit compliance data independently, participants must have access to a personal computer, an electronic file of the RFID numbers utilized in qualifying animals, an acceptable spreadsheet application and access to the internet.
